DACA

DACA-Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals does not provide lawful status. Instead, the Federal Government would execute prosecutorial discretion to defer removal action against eligible individuals for three years.

Individuals who came to the United States as children and meet the eligibility criteria may be able to request consideration of deferred action for a period of three years, subject to renewal for another three-year period.  These individuals are also eligible for work authorization.
